Muskoka and Niagara weekend. JW Marriott, Lumina Resort & Vineland Estates Winery.

August and September have been continuing in fine form.

A lot of exciting new shows were added at the last minute. All at great sounding venues, with great support staff and gracious Clients.

This coming weekend sees a great road trip: two days in Muskoka, followed by a performance in the Niagara region.

I’ll be doing a public singer/songwriter performance at the JW Marriott (Minett, ON) on Friday September 27, 2013 (8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.). This will be a great show. I’ll be showcasing a variety of new original material, along with some creative cover songs from Maroon 5, The Verve, Radiohead and Audioslave.

Saturday takes me to Lumina Resort (Huntsville, ON) for a private instrumental guitar wedding performance. Sunday features another private instrumental guitar wedding performance at Vineland Estates Winery (Vineland, Niagara, ON).

Great sounds at the Evergreen Brickworks, Oliver & Bonacini’s Windermere House, the Rosewater Room and Market Hall.

Phenomenal sounding locations seem to be a predominant theme in 2013.

The shots above and below were taken at a July wedding performance at the Evergreen Brickworks (Toronto, ON). Such long and expansive spaces lend themselves well to great solo acoustic guitar sounds. Low frequencies get a chance to move without getting boxed in. Higher frequencies have a great delay and dimension. They are incredible places in which to perform.

Performances at Oliver & Bonacini’s Windermere House (Windermere, ON), Hart House at the University of Toronto (Toronto, ON), and the Rosewater Room (Toronto, ON) all featured exceptional acoustics. The wedding ceremonies at these locations were incredibly dramatic on all levels.

It was also a pleasure to be invited to play at Market Hall (Peterborough, ON) as part of Artsweek’s opening festivities in September.
