Jake Dudas – Weddings & Events – Venues

From Vintage Hotels to the top of the TD Tower.

One of the most exciting things for me as a wedding and special-event guitarist is being able to perform at so many unique venues.

I’ve experienced the grandeur of Graydon Hall Manor, Casa Loma and Chateau des Charmes. The natural intimacy of Cave Spring Vineyards and the Inn on the Twenty. The creativity of the Canadian Museum of Nature and the Gardiner Museum. The sophistication of Canoe and Malaparte. The tradition of St. George’s Golf & Country Club, the Royal Canadian Yacht Club and Muskoka Steamships. The contemporary flair of the Thompson Landry Gallery, Archeo and the Berkeley Church. The natural expanse of the JW Marriott Rosseau and the Muskoka Bay Club. The intimate cottage-country warmth of Sherwood Inn and the Burleigh Falls Inn.

Geography & Travel

I’m based out of both Toronto and Peterborough, ON, Canada. My principal areas of work are Toronto, Niagara, Muskoka and the Kawarthas. I also work occasionally in the Kingston and Ottawa areas. Any location within roughly three hours of the GTA involves only a modest travel fee.

Travelling further afield, I am willing to travel virtually anywhere and have performed throughout Canada. I welcome the opportunity to travel to unique locations and can be highly flexible with pricing. Favourite destinations include New York, Florida and British Columbia.

“We recently hired Jake to perform at our wedding and we could not have been happier.”

Jenna & David – Toronto, On, Canada

Thank you so much for helping to make our Wedding Day extremely memorable and absolutely perfect! We really appreciate all of the hard work you put in before and during our wedding to help make our day unforgettable. Thank you for learning to play a song just for us. It was absolutely amazing! The music was beautiful and really helped set the mood for the ceremony and cocktail hour. Many of our guests said that the sound of the acoustic guitar added an elegant final touch to our wedding!

We had Jake perform during our wedding ceremony and cocktail reception. Our guests confirmed that Jake’s involvement our wedding helped convey the style and atmosphere we were going for. We knew Jake would be a hit because we had the pleasure to hear him play in our own living room months earlier. We reflect back on that evening, in the midst of our hectic wedding planning, as such a great way to take a break from our chaos, and look forward to the joy ahead. Jake’s performance of Crash by Dave Matthews Band was so good that it made us change our mind on our most important cue – the Bride’s walk down the aisle. Such a song, and the way it was played so wonderfully, was exactly the kind of unique and love-inspiring feature that we wanted our wedding to be all about, which Jake helped us deliver on.

Thanks so much for making our wedding day extra special.  As both Anthony and I play guitar, we thought that having a guitarist play for our ceremony and cocktail hour would be very fitting and you certainly did not disappoint. We loved how you spun more contemporary music into wedding-appropriate renditions. Special thanks for working so hard on Muse’s “Starlight”, and taking the time to record your work in progress so that we could be a part of the process. We appreciated your genuine interest in making our day turn out how we had in mind, not to mention your professionalism throughout the entire planning process. Thanks again.
