Song in surfing video.

I’m pleased to announce that the song “Into the Sun” will be featured in an upcoming surfing video directed and shot by Bradley Van Rooi.

Brad and I met through our shared affinity for surfing, along with an article I wrote in Toronto’s NOW Magazine. We have kept in touch over the years, and have toyed with many different ways to collaborate.

Recorded as part of Monster America’s “Dirty Kings” sessions in 2009, “Into the Sun” marked a significant turning point for me professionally.

As always seems to be the case, the subconscious is one step ahead. Amidst a fleury of heavy electric songs, this one acoustic outtake opened up a new sound and completely new venues to explore.

More details on the film’s release date coming soon…
