Riding the dragon.
Things move quickly these days. I’m sure I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know 🙂 April taxes. Bookkeeping. Spring/summer activities rearing back into gear. A music calendar that’s rapidly filling. Then, of course, there’s all the stuff going on outside of our own spheres.
Don’t get me started.
Soundcheck paradise at the Fairmont Royal York. Supper clubs. And dogs.
This week sees a busy stretch of performances.
On Wednesday, April 22, I’m performing at a corporate event for Chestnut Park Real Estate at the Fairmont Royal York (Toronto, ON). The event is taking place in the Imperial Room… an absolutely stunning space. I will definitely be arriving early to simply enjoy the soundcheck.
Saturday, April 25, I’m back at Chemong Lodge (Bridgenorth, ON). This is my second time performing as part of their Lodge Night series. It’s a great social club setting that allows for a lot of flexibility with music. I tend to start the evenings a little more quietly with instrumental music, then transition to livelier vocals after dinner. It’s also nice to play in the main room for these events. There’s a really nice, expansive acoustic guitar sound here.
Sunday, April 26 sees my second performance at the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society for their Volunteer Appreciation Event. They’ve changed the format a little this year—opening it to the public, and adding a range of food and craft vendors. It’s a great, family-friendly day for a great cause. The festivities start at 11:00 a.m. and go to 3:00 p.m.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
