Carrie & Brad
Jake, thank you for playing at our wedding last weekend. Brad and I loved the warmth, joy and fun that your music added to the event, and I was grateful for your rendition of Annie’s Song. It meant a lot to me and was a finishing touch to the ceremony. Keep up the good work — your online presence, in-person professionalism and charm, all combined with your talent, makes you a great musician and person to work with. I’m so glad we found you! All the best…

Performer’s notes: An intimate wedding in the Distillery District.
EVENT: Carrie & Brad’s Wedding
DATE: October 2011
LOCATION: The Distillery Room – Distillery District, Toronto, ON
FORMAT: Instrumental acoustic guitar
PLANNER: Distillery Events
In terms of wedding locations, you can’t go wrong with Toronto’s Distillery District. A unique enclave unto itself, the mood is set long before you reach the venue. Cobblestone walkways greet you warmly, with each step taking you further back in time.
The Distillery Room is a small, inviting space. It was the perfect location for Carrie and Brad’s intimate family wedding. Musically, Carrie and Brad loved the sound of a finger-picked acoustic guitar. The pre-ceremony featured a very eclectic blend of contemporary and classic material: Fleetwood Mac’s Landslide, Pearl Jam’s Just Breathe, and Train’s Marry Me. For their custom processional song, they continued the theme, choosing Annie’s Song by John Denver.
As far as details were concerned, Soraya and the staff at Distillery Events left nothing to chance. Every detail, from the Bride’s entrance to the dinner service, was timed to perfection.
It was an honour to be a part of the day.
